2004 - Mystery Train lost one of
its brother's this year. Jim Eichinger who's tenor sax graced the CD and kicked ass as part of the Tres Huevos Horn Section
will be greatly missed. Play on my friend and thank you.
2003- It's been an interesting year to say the least.
The CD has found its way across oceans, picked up some great reviews and strangely enough is responsible for introducing me
to some new and very special friends. Last March, a member of the Byrd Family contacted me after stumbling upon the "Jasper,Texas"
CD while doing an online search. Anita and I quickly became friends and after weeks of emails and phone calls she invited
my wife and I to attend the Byrd Family Reunion scheduled for that August. I was honored by the invitation and deeply moved
by the request to perform the song. It was a great day and we were welcomed with open arms by this warm and loving family.
Perhaps the most emotional moment and the one that I will carry in my heart forever was meeting Renee Mullins Byrd, Mr. James
Byrd's daughter. This woman's strength, courage and grace are second to none. Renee if you are reading this...we love you
and hope to see you soon. peace, Ron
